Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
